Our Doodle weight calculator is above, but you can also use Puppy Weight Calculator for over 450 other dog breeds!

Now, you’ve probably heard that it’s pretty much impossible to predict exactly how each individual Doodle puppy will grow. It’s true – because Doodles are hybrids, each Doodle’s genes will dictate how large or small it will be when full-grown.

This unpredictability might be leaving you feeling worried, anxious, or simply just curious. Luckily, we can take a “guesstimate” on your pup’s final adult weight based on observed growth patterns.

    Puppy Growth Patterns

Like most dog breeds, Doodles do their fastest growing in the first 50% of their adult weight, which generally correlates to the first six months of life. They generally reach their maximum height by one year old but can spend a little longer gaining girth and weight. They generally finish growing anywhere between 1-2 years of age.

Due to this rapid growth, it is extremely important for your Doodle to get the nourishment he needs through specially formulated food for puppies. Check out our Doodle puppy food review articles here.

Our Doodle puppy growth chart calculator references data from this study. Let’s explain the data according to dog size. You can also follow along by watching our video on it here:

    Toy Doodles

In the study, “small” dogs weighed between 5-15 lb. This weight range is typically associated with Toy Doodles.

Based on the study’s data averages, we estimate that Toy Doodles generally reach half their adult weight at approximately 3.5 months old. A Toy Doodle will then plateau at its full adult weight between 7.5-11 months of age.

If you want to do a quick calculation, here’s the formula you would use to estimate the adult weight for a Toy Doodle:

    Mini/Medium Doodles

In the study, “medium” dogs weighed between 15-55 lb. This weight range is typically associated with both Mini and Medium Doodles.

Based on the study’s data averages, we estimate that Mini/Medium Doodles generally reach half their adult weight between 3.5 and 5 months old. A Mini/Medium Doodle will then plateau at its full adult weight between 11-13 months of age.

    Standard Doodles

In the study, “large” dogs weighed between 55-85 lbs. This weight range is typically associated with Standard size Doodles.

Based on the study’s data averages, we estimate that Standard Doodles generally reach half their adult weight between 4.5 and 6 months old. A Standard Doodle will then plateau at its full adult weight between 12.5-16 months of age.

If you want to do a quick calculation, here’s the formula you would use to estimate the adult weight for a Standard Doodle:

Since Standard Saint Berdoodles become much larger than 85 lbs., they reach half their adult weight later than 4.5-6 months.

Hi there, the calculator does not consider generations (F1, F1b, etc.) because they don’t matter. The calculator considers the breed and estimated adult size only.

I’ve tried many times to estimate my goldendoodle’s eventual weight but always get an error message.
