A User Says:

“Max’s Peterson” has a Facebook group named “labradoodle and golden doodle puppies available for adoption”. He offered us two puppies, both girls. Once he sent the pictures, he started pressuring us to send the deposit (100% refundable) then he would get us the paperwork. He wanted us to do it over Apple Pay – don’t do it as they will not refund for scams. Long story short…we traveled 4 hours, paid the $700 fees, and when we arrived at the home, there was no one there. Is it a Scam? Well…if they are asking you where you live, don’t tell them unless they have proof of where they live and a website with many references. If they are unwilling to give the name of the vet or of their business, run! If the phone number does not match the state or they have a foreign accent, it is too good to be true.
