But before we reveal to you the best Labradoodle breeders in Oregon, let’s take a quick look at the most important factors to keep in mind before you make that huge commitment.

How To Choose A Labradoodle Breeder Responsibly In Oregon

When looking for Labradoodles, the Oregon breeders in our guide have proven to follow ethical practices while providing the dogs the highest of care. So, what should you look for when choosing an ethical Labradoodle breeder in Oregon?

Health Testing & Health Guarantees

Ethical Labradoodle breeders in Oregon rigorously test their parent dogs for any health problems and genetic illnesses before breeding new litters. This greatly reduces the chance of puppies inheriting any life altering conditions. Similarly, they’ll also provide at least a two-year health guarantee for their puppies, which usually covers all serious genetic conditions that the parents have been tested for.

Certifications & Affiliations

You’ll also want to check if the breeder is associated with any reputable, established organizations. These include the Worldwide Australian Labradoodle Association (WALA) and the Australian Labradoodle Association of America (ALAA). Additionally, some breeders are also recommended by Gooddog.com.

Although not all breeders are certified with these organizations, it’s a great indicator that a breeder upholds the highest standards for health and genetic testing, and also exceptional breeding practices.

Reviews & Testimonials

Finally, don’t underestimate the value of reviews and testimonials of previous customers. You’ll be able to find testimonials on the breeders’ websites, but we recommend you go the extra mile of doing a thorough Google research and check for reviews on Reddit, Yelp, Facebook, and even here at Doodle Doods

I have a dog from one of these breeders and will respectfully disagree that they are an ‘ethical’ breeder. They mass produce puppies, having as many as 40-50 pups ‘in process’ at one time. I believe this is causing some pups with allergies, anxiety, and questionable behaviors. It was our first time actually buying a dog and I thought I had done my homework. We will never purchase another puppy from a large breeder.
