Newfypoo Size Predictions

Newfypoo is a beautiful cross between a Poodle and a Newfoundland. To estimate how big your Newfypoo will be at its full-grown size, you don’t have to look far. As both of the parents are large dogs, naturally, a Standard Newfydoodle will most likely be, too.

Unless you’re adopting a Newfypoo from a shelter, your breeder should be able to tell you about your puppy’s parents. Some breeders specialize in Standard Newfypoos and some breed Mini Newfiedoodles.

Additionally, a Newfypoo’s full-grown size can also vary due to a variety of factors like their gender, generation (more on this below), or even their placement in the mother’s womb. Often, male Newfypoos are larger than females.

Newfypoo Size Charts & Growth Patterns

We’ve been collecting weight data from our Doodle Weight Prediction Calculator. The below Newfypoo size chart / graph shows the average weights by age (in weeks), by size of Newfypoo.

As of October 24, 2022, we’ve received over 5,100 accurate Newfypoo weight submissions through our calculator.

Dogs typically reach their full size anywhere from 9 to 24 months of age, depending on their size. Usually, smaller dogs will reach their adult size when they’re 9-12 months old. However, large and giant breeds might reach full size from 18 up to 24 months of age.

Keep in mind that all pups should be on a diet specially formulated for puppies up until they reach [most of] their adult size. Moreover, if you have a large or giant Newfypoo pup, you should consider a formula specially designed for large breed puppies. Make sure to check out our Doodle puppy food guides.

Mini and Medium Newfypoos

A Mini or Medium Newfypoo’s full-grown size is usually at 18 to 21 inches in height and they weigh around 35-65 pounds. Dogs this size usually reach half of their adult weight around the time they’re 4-5 months old, and full adult weight at 11 to 13 months.

You can also use a simple formula to roughly estimate your Mini Newfypoo’s full size by multiplying your pup’s weight at 18 weeks old by two.

Also, please keep in mind that Newfypoos are originally a cross between two large dogs. Therefore, Newfypoos should not weigh less than 35 pounds as full-grown dogs. They are generally not crossed with Toy Poodles, as Tiny Newfypoos are more prone to a whole spectrum of health issues.

Before you adopt your pup, make sure you read our article on how to choose a reputable breeder.

Standard Newfypoos

Standard Newfypoos are usually 22-25 inches tall and weigh anywhere between 65-130 pounds. When it comes to large and giant dogs, they usually reach their full adult size a lot later than smaller breeds. Typically, you can expect a Standard Newfypoo to reach their full size at around 18-24 months of age. Half of the adult size is achieved around 5-6 months.

Here’s a simple formula that you can quickly try out for a Standard Newfypoo size estimate. Just multiply your pup’s weight at 23 weeks by two.

Doodle Generations explained 2022

So what does it all mean? For instance, if an F1 Newfypoo is 50% Standard Poodle and 50% Newfoundland, we can predict that the Newfypoo will also be a large dog. Of course, they might inherit a thinner frame from the Poodle side, or a chunkier frame from the Newfoundland side.

On the other hand, with F1b and F2b, there’s more control over the puppy’s size. For example, if an F1 Mini Newfypoo is bred back to a Mini Poodle, you’ll probably end up with a smaller pup. Mini F1b Newfypoos usually weigh around 25-50 pounds and are around 16-20 inches tall.

What Age Are Newfypoos Fully Grown?

As we now know, dogs will reach their full adult size at different times. This depends on many factors like your Nefwypoo’s estimated fully grown size, their gender, and generation.

For example, Standard Newfypoos are large dogs, so they usually reach their full size in about 18 to 24 months. In the last few months, their rapid growth will plateau so they will only gain weight and girth.

Be sure to do your research on your puppy’s future size, as you will have to make sure their living conditions are suitable for them.

How big will a Newfypoo get?

Newfypoos are usually large dogs that can weigh up to 130 pounds. A Mini Newfypoo’s full-grown weight is around 35-65 pounds. If you’ve adopted a Newfypoo from a shelter, you can try out the formulas we mentioned in this article, or use our weight prediction calculator to estimate how big your Newfypoo will get.

In conclusion, Newfypoo is the perfect dog for people who enjoy an active and affectionate companion. They get along well with kids and other pets and they’re extremely loyal and sociable. Their size and amazing temperament make them a great family dog for people with lots of space and big backyards. As such, if you decide to adopt a Newfydoodle, you should be able to provide them plenty of exercise, attention, and a comfortable environment.

We hope you’ve found our Newfypoo size guide useful when adopting your newest family member.
