As a Doodle owner, I’m sure you know just how long and fast Doodle hair can grow. And while cute, sometimes that hair can be unsightly and inconvenient. For example, when a Doodle’s beard gets too long, it might pick up debris or get stained from food or dirt, or move water from his water bowl to…well…everywhere else around the house!

Speaking of water, have you heard about the Slopper Stopper? This specially designed water bowl is amazing for preventing water from getting into your Doodle’s beard!

To help keep your Dood looking a little more neat and tidy in between visits to the groomer, in the video below, we’re going to demonstrate how you can trim his beard quickly and easily.

How to Trim a Doodle’s Beard

Although this process is really easy and straight forward, be sure to follow along by watching the video below.

Start by brushing or combing out the beard hair on the chin.

You will then gently pull the hairs downward with your fingers so the hair is even. Take your scissors and basically just do a straight cut at whatever length you want it to be.

Keep trimming with the scissors until your Doodle’s beard looks neat and tidy to your liking.

And that’s pretty much it!

Let us know in the comments if you’ve done this for your Doodle.
