Is your doodle having a hard time seeing because of long eyebrow hair? In this video tutorial, we are going to show you how to do a maintenance groom eyebrow trim. We are going to show you how to trim your Doodle’s eyebrows so you can do this for your pup right now and without the help of a groomer!

Check out the video below:

Trimming the Eyebrows

First start by combing or brushing out your Doodle’s eyebrow/forehead hair. Be gentle since this is a sensitive area for dogs.

To trim the hair that hangs down over your Doodle’s eyes, start by creating a hairline about 1 inch above the eyes and combing all the hair forward to make a “visor”.

Then trim the visor straight across with your straight shears or safety scissors.

You can hold the eyelashes down if you want to keep them long. This has an added safety aspect to it as well.

Now your Doodle might look like they’re getting a bowl cut for a minute, but bear with me.

When the hair is trimmed down to the desired length, use your thinning shears to blend if necessary.

Comb the hair back and see how neat and tidy it is!

Thank you so much for the video! It’s the best one I have seen on how to trim around the eyes. Extremely helpful.

Hi,

I’ma new doodle owner and plan to groom him between professional stylings. I’m looking at trimmers, and I keep seeing the Andis corded trimmer as a top pick. I was originally thinking a cordless trimmer made more sense, but they’re never top ranked. Why is that? Seems counterintuitive to me, but I’d love to love to hear why you like the corded better. If it’s only for runtime, wouldn’t a cordless operate long enough for my one doodle?

Thanks,
Eric & “Cosmo”
